Independent Commodity Services (ICS)
Since 1997 Independent Commodity Services has provided independent market analysis to woolgrowers throughout Australia, and to wool traders internationally. We aim to provide commercially useful market advice, making sense of and putting into context, the myriad of information available to those in the wool industry.
Advance Trading incorporated in 1980 as a brainchild of six individuals in North America with experience in the grain industry as elevator managers and merchandising consultants. Advance was formed to fulfill a need as an independent source of information for upcountry grain elevators, providing worldwide perspectives in the market. In order to deliver unbiased, sound marketing advice and remain committed to all its customers, Advance Trading chose to be independent.
Online Agricultural Training Services
An initiative of Grain Growers Association (GGA), OATS is part of the Grains Industry Climate Initiative and has been developed to increase awareness of the training opportunities available in the agriculture sector and acts as a link between course providers and participants.
OATS encourages industry participants to self-assess their requirements for improved knowledge, skills development or training with the aim of increasing the agricultural industry capacity to respond to the challenges that arise from a changing climate.
FarmReady Reimbursement Grants help primary producers, wild game harvesters and Indigenous land managers attend approved training courses.
Eligible participants can receive up to $1500 each financial year to cover the cost of approved training activities, with additional support available for associated expenses such as excess travel, accommodation and childcare.
Courses registered with the program aim to improve the capacity of primary producers to adapt to climate change and increase self reliance and preparedness.
